All Around Athlete With Bad Knees
Youngest Iroper...I have the book "Jumping Rope The Second Time Around" and it's very easy to follow along with. I am the first child to do the irope method. I'm surprised because it's so easy.... -Courtney Acklin
JUMP TO ITIt's the best overall workout, in a very simple program. Keep an open mind and a willing attitude to try your best, no matter what your current level of fitness is....you SHALL be challanged. This is an effective way to get in shape and increase your stamina, plus acheive a whole new level of fitness. The program works for anyone, the most helpful feature is being are able to chart your progress in the forms provided. There are various drills that can target specific sports if you so choose. Finding time to workout has always been my challange, but this technique takes less time and it's fun. When people see you IROPE for the first time, yes they will stare, but only to try to figure out HOW you are doing this so easily. Soon you will have all your friends joining in on the fun!
It's a great book, share it!

In Words & Pictures: Thomasville in the Nineteen Twenties
Published in Hardcover by Capecorp Press (January, 1999)
Average review score:

Nice book on Thomasville's HistoryI borrowed a copy and found it to be quite full of interesting facts about Thomasville. I am from Thomasville myself, but I haven't found many resources detailing the history (or any time period within) for the city. Needless to say, I had never heard of much of the facts and events within its contents before I read the book.

Mistress of the House, Mistress of Heaven: Women in Ancient Egypt
Published in Paperback by Cincinnati Art Museum (June, 1996)
Average review score:

an attractive book for everyoneAncient Egyptian art was the star attraction of the Mediterranean world for 3000 years, only for some of it to be transported to various museums across the world. This book examines those scenes in over 25 American museums as well as private collections which serve to shed light on the role of Ancient Egyptian women in their society. Objects such as mummy cases, coffins, statues and other sacred items also hold much information. The book contains essays by Egyptologists Janet H. Johnson, Catherine H. Roehrig and Betsy M. Bryan. A chronological index, map, beautiful photos, bibliography and index have also been included. It is an excellent book, recommended for all serious students and scholars to have in their private libraries.

Matthews Narrative: Web over and over and over Again
Published in Hardcover by Sheffield Academic Pr (July, 1994)
Average review score:

Important observationsThe basis of Anderson's monograph is the large number of repeated phrases which appear in the gospel of Matthew. She has collated these in a valuable appendix at the end of the book. The appearances of these phrases in the gospel leads to a narrative analysis. Anderson makes a credible case that repetition is the dominant narrative feature of Matthew. I have had students in my gospels course do their own counts of some of these pharases and trace where they appear in the gospels. The results of this activity produce a helpful picture of the contours of the narrative flow of Matthew. The book itself is fairly technical and very expensive, so it would not serve well as a textbook.
