Book of Magic (Diadem: A Fantasy Mystery, No. 3)
Published in Paperback by Apple (August, 1997)
Author: John Peel
Average review score:

This Book is definitrly worth anything you pay for it.
Diadem : Book of Magic is an incredible adventure ride. All though this is true I suggest you read the first two books before this one. The first three books in this series are so intrictly wound that just to read one is impossible and would drive me crazy. This book (Diadem 3) was my favorite out of all the Diadem's because they have to unite together (and they really didn't like each other that much before) to save them selves. the thing I find most enjoyable about this book is Peel's (the Author) use of ancient myths like dragons, centaurs, wizards, and unicorns as characters on the many strange worlds. If you're considering ordering this book, do so but only if you love excitement, drama, mystery, and amazing fantasy.

If I could, I'd give these books 100 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the "Diadem" books are MUST READS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the over-all plot and wonder how Peel thinks of all the wonderful stuff he puts in his books. The Helaine, Score, and Pixel have interesting traits & personalities. People that give this book under four stars are out of there mind! I LOVE JHON PEEL'S BOOKS. He MUST write more "Diadem" books!! If you liked these book you'll love "The Secret of Dragonhome!!

I thought this book was great and action packed.
I think this book was one of the best in the series, Score, Renald, and Pixel meet with unicorns named Thunder, Nova, and Flame, and have to stop an evil magician, before he stops them with huge beasts made with the elements of Water, Fire, Gas, and Rock. This book and all the other books in the Diadem series are great. If you like this you'll probably like all of the other Diadem books.

Revolution

YOU CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is the best that I've ever read! Tristan, a naive person who is chained to his conscience and Genia, a streetpunk thief from the underworld are forced to work with a gang of crooks and Tristan's ex-girlfriend, Mora, who has become hard-hearted after living in the underworld. I could not put it down. I wasn't intrested in anything else but the book. Unlike Paul Jennings,Morris Gleitzman, and John Marsden where their six part stories seemed to repeat itself throughout the series, John Peel is original. Well worth your money.

They can only survive the revolution....
No one can stop the ongoing revolution. Tristan and Genia, after a heart-stopping escape from Ice, must get onto business and save Earth from Tristan's devious clone Devon. Unfortunately, Tristan meets his betrayer. He discovers shocking things about why he was betrayed. But that doesn't make the fight for Earth any less serious. The world is one the brink of total destruction, and only Tristan , who is trying to gain the trust of Inspector Shimoda, can stop that.

No time for disappointment!
This book was excellent! Genia finds herself warming up to Tristan. It's also revealed in this book that there are three clones in the universe that have been freed from their lab, where other clones remain, still in their jars-- there's Jame Wilson, a young, 14-year-old that lives in Space, there's Tristan Connor, and Devon. Devon has a sick potential to take over the world, and Quietus with that. This book concentrates on Tristan's escape from Ice, and betrayal from Genia's own father. This book/series is related to Marilyn Kaye's "replica." There's also 12 clones, except the character's genders are different. This book isn't a disappointment--read it!

THE BEST DIADEM BOOK YET!!
I found that this is the most interesting Diadem book yet! In this book Helaine and Score have to rescue Pixel from.........well, I don't wan't to spoil it so I won't say much more about it except that they batte thier own NIGHTMARES!!! I found this was the best book in the series because of the plot and the fact that I found it was the best written book in the series. I find that each chapter is written basicly from one of the Trio's point of view. And, to me, book 6 was written in words that that character would use. Maybe it's just me but that's what I think. Anyways......... MR. PEEL DON'T STOP WRITING!!!! WE NEED MORE BOOKS!!! HOW CAN IT STOP JUST AT BOOK 6??!!! PLEASE WRITE MORE!!!

DiaDem's the Best!
Dear Mr. John Peel,

I love your books! I think it's interesting having a new fantasy book series that incorporates some of the less widely used characters, like the centaurs, the sphinx, and the ice dragon, to the unicorns, wizards, and kids with magical power. It always interests me to view how writers portray the opposite sex in characters, and I approve of Hellaine. They are all believable, lovable, human characters, and that is perhaps your major selling point. I also like how all the book covers mold together to form one design! However, the suspense is killing us! Keep writing, Publish those books faster! We'll be waiting at the bookstore.

Kids who are reading this, if you like this, you'll probably be interested in another book series I've read. Patricia C. Wrede's "Dealing With Dragons". It's about a teanage girl who is a very improper princess, who like Hellaine, is bored with her royal duties of curtseying and needlepoint, so she voluntarily becomes a dragon's princess, and aids the dragons in their battle against the evil magic-stealing wizards.

I AGREE! HOW COULD YOU, MR. PEEL!
Mr. Peel, I hope you read this! Diadem is an awesome book series! The characters are great, the plot is good, you haven't gotten repetative, the use of magic is well done. I'm an author myself and tend to be quite critical, but I love your books! How can you stop writing them? They are very good books. Well worth the read. Please, keep it up! PLEASE!

BEST SERIES EVER CREATED!(I wish i could rate this 10 stars)
What is John Peel Thinking? He has to be CRAZY not to continue his series! I have Read the books from there Debut in 98(I think it was then) and They are Fantastic! (Even though i read the 2nd book first[I thought the books contained diff/ stories and , being a Huge fan of medival times and magic , bought it instead of the first. I was really confused who was who] Back to the review) Score (Max) has to be the best out of all of them. It just really confused me why he would drop this Sleeper hit.(one of my friends and me are the only one in my Middle School whose ever read any of the books) The Diadem Series have to be the bestest , best collection of books ever created! You know maybe John Peel Is waiting write know for the Perfect moment to strike with the rest of the series....I just have to say I Love these books so much , I'm going to buy brand new versions of each and keep them in Mint condition. Yes , New Diadem Fans , I love it that much.

This Book Will Change Your Life
This is a fantasy you will never forget. The pages are covered with superior remembrance. The book is so wonderful, you won't put it down till the last page is read. This book has changed my life because it has taught me to never give up and keep trying. Like when Score, Pixel and Renald, (the main characters), were stuck in a jail cell and kept on trying to get out. They couldn't figure out a way, but they kept on trying. They tried climbing out the window, but it was too small and too high. They tried to melt the lock by combining their powers but they found out their powers weren't strong enough, yet, to melt the lock. So they took some hay and stuffed it into the keyhole. And by combining their powers again, they could catch the hay on fire and that melted the lock. The biggest reason I think this book is the best is because you didn't know what was going to happen next. This book constantly kept me in suspense. It also makes you feel like you are a part of the book. Like it was happening right before your eyes. I going to continue reading these books until I read them all!!!!!

Amazing!!!!!!
This book is awesome!!! It's part of a presently six book series that has to appeal to fantasy lovers everywhere! The first book begins with threee children being kidnapped from their own worlds of Earth, Ordin, and Calomir by animal morphing brings called beastials. They embark on a marvelous journey in which they learn of their new magical powers.........Oh wait. You should read the book for yourself. This series has everything! From unicorns to dragons, and even goblins and centaurs, any fantasy fanatic will love it! I fanatically hope that Mr. Peel continues on after book 6 because this series is just begging to be embellished upon. By the way, did you know that if you put the books side by side in order with the covers facing you, they all interlock and create an awesome picture? Griffin

Book of Signs (Diadem: A Fantasy Mystery, No. 2)

I read it all in one day, because I couldn't stop!
Usually I hate fantastic fiction, but this book, (and the other in the series), totally changed my view. It's very cool, especially the part where they made friends with goblins and fought the wyrm. This book, unlike the first one shows you don't have to fight everything to win. I warmly recommend it for monster-magic lovers especially.Good book.

This is the best book I ever read !
This book is about 3 people, Score, Helaine and Pixel. They have exiting adventures and it feels like the characters are real! I think everyone should get to read this fantastic book. I read about 50 pages and then got so interested in the book I read the whole book. This is the best book I've ever read, and the most exiting adventure story I ever read! I can't wait for the other book!

Magic is a gift not a curse
I read books 1-4 of DIADEM.I will buy 5 and 6. You should keep on writing. Think of making this book a television series, computer software(Windows 95), and a movie. You should make a book that they have to face an evil version of themselves. And Shanara has enough power to help them and give them each a unicorn horn and a familiar(bird, mammal, reptile). And each gets a griomore or book of spells. Helaine has Eremin's, Score has Traxis's, and Pixel has Nantor's.

Book of Thunder (Diadem: A Fantasy Mystery, No. 4)

This is from a wizard on Dondar
This is a great book. You should keep on writing. I read books 1-4, and know will soon buy 5 & 6. You should make this a computer software, and a cartoon if you like. You should keep on writing. I read every book 3x. Please makes the series a television show on channels 11/5 , and 44. Keep writing until series 90000, or 5

The whole book series of diadem should be a tv show
Diadem 4 tells of great of 3 kids who have to help Thunder the unicorns leader to stop marmanki from taking his herd. This should be a tv show this books can give a continent a knew meaning of imagination. You should also keep on writing books and make this a computer sofware and tv show. I read 1,2,3,4, and know I will buy5, and 6

PLEASE WRITE MORE OF THE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have read all six of the diadem series at least a zillion times. Though i get teased alot by my older brother, Robert(16) for reading "childish books" i can't help but love them. I wish that John Peel would write more of the diadem books so that i can read them over and over again till they fall apart!!!! I've read like every book he's written and so has my friend, Lisa(13, soon to be 14). Though the books are recomended for ages 9-12 i'm 14 and love them!! Have i said that already? Oh well, i just wrote this to beg Mr.Peel to have mercy on my poor soul and to please PLEASE write more of the DIADEM books:the greatest series ever written!!!!

Book of Earth
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Author: John Peel
Average review score:

This is the funniest in the series!
When Helaine and Pixel go to earth with Score, you just know it will be funny. It was a great idea to have them visit earth because all the readers know what earth is like (I hope) and they may not know much about Helaines' medieval world of Ordin or Pixels' virtual reality world Calomir. Read this book if you want to see how earthings react to magic-users!

I think the whole Diadem series is great!
My friend and I were the first to dig into the series in our class and each of us would get a different book. Like, she got #1 me #2 and so on. Everyone one else who would look into the books loved them as well. The book of Earth is a great book as well as the others. I especially like the high amounts of fantasy and all the other characters with their opposite personalities. I hope John Peel would write the series all the way 2 1,000! I recommend this book along with the rest of the series to everyone. (And another great book by John Peel is The Golden Compass. There are characters like the ones in Diadem (such as armored bears) in it.)

Great book
Diadem is one of my favorite series along with Mindwarp and Animorphs. It is a great mix of suspense and fantasy. Once you start reading you can't put the book down. You just have to keep reading. The books actually make you feel like you're there with Helaine, Score and Pixel. The only thing that angers me is that John Peel stopped at book #6 and left the series hanging! Mr. Peel, please write more!!!! :(

Discover Your Destiny: Finding the Courage to Follow Your Dreams
Published in Paperback by Navpress (January, 1997)
Authors: Bill Peel, Kathy Peel, and William Carr Peel
Average review score:

Good plans
For any Christian who is stuck in a rut, this is a good book to read. It gives some spiritual and practical advice about finding your own niche. Doing the written exercises will give you a great starting off point to make changes in your life.

Must reading for those wanting to do more with their lives.
I have to agree with Marc from Pennsylvania below. This is one of the most important books ever written for Christians--it deserves a much wider reputation than it has thus far.

In 1997, I turned 40. My father had just lost his final battle with cancer, and I was questioning my career direction. I'd read Kathy Peel's "Do Plastic Surgeons Take Visa?" and loved how she combined humor with practical suggestions for coping with everyday life--and I especially loved her story about how she went from being a housewife to a woman with a speaking and writing ministry. That story is repeated in "Discover Your Destiny" and it alone would be worth the price of the book. But there's MUCH more. Chapter by chapter, they talk about everything from discovering your dreams and passions, to preparing yourself physically, spiritually, and practically to embark on your next step. There are three great lists that I used not only with myself, but now with my students: "Spotting a Dream from God," "Preparing for Your Dream (this one is great--very practical and powerful at the same time) and the Growth Op for discovering what you're passionate about (For example, what issues make you pound the table and say, "Someone's got to do something about this?")

It was through doing the work in this book that I realized what was missing in my own everyday work--the career counseling component. These last five years I've attended professional meetings, bought books, gone out of my way to work on things related to what I wanted to do. And. . .oh, yes. . .I prayed. OFTEN. It took time. . .but when I finally helped create a position last year that combined academic advising with career counseling, it was the RIGHT time. I was truly ready to do the work. Even a year ago, I wouldn't have been ready.

This WORKS. Though I cannot proselytize on the job, I can certainly use the principles outlined by the Peels as the foundation for how I live and how I help others do what their book did for me.

This one is another one of my desert island books. Five stars are NOT enough!

Best Book I Ever Read Besides the Bible.
It's revolutionized the way I live from day to day. The Peels have masterfuuly written a book that catapults the dreams in your heart while showing you how to practically live them out each and every day. Besides, it's loaded with quotes from major players in history who have reached their maximum, God-given potential. I recommend this book those who are worthy of it!

The Fight for Justice (Star Wars Journal)
Published in Paperback by Scholastic (July, 1998)
Author: John Peel
Average review score:

Journey to the darkside of the universe
In most of the Star Wars books, Luke is a trained Jedi Knight, so it's fun to read about what is essentially a kid ready to leave home, with no idea what the worlds about. Learning about death really catipults him into the realm of adulthood. He goes from being a clueless innocent imagining going on some whirlwind adventure to save a fairy princess. To becoming a young man whoose lost the parents who raised him, a mentor, and a childhood friend. It approaches that age old question, once you get what your looking for, do you really want it. And though we all know it will work out for the best in the end, you can see his emotional journey, history, and lost youth.

A wonderfull book that focuses in on what Luke thinks
I read this book one day when I was grounded and it was so sitting-on-the-edge-of-my-seat, rivetingly good that I didn't want to come out! It is written in journal form about what Luke was thinking and feeling during A New Hope, though this book spans a little before it too. This was especially interesting for me, since Luke has always been my favorite character. Part of why I loved it is that it was not simply yet another retelling of the original story, but breathed new life into it, and made it even more interesting, and considering that I have seen this movie so many times I practicly have it memerized, that is quite a feat. My one complaint of this book was that, though the character of Luke was explored deeply and in ways that few other books have, all the other characters were pretty much left out with the exception of Leia, since Luke was thinking quite a lot about her at this time. But then again, when I write in my journal I usually don't focus on other people either, and since this is supposed to be Luke's journal, that does make sense. In short, this was a wonderfull book that I would reccamend to any Star Wars fan, especially those who love Luke.

I Loved this journal
This is a GREAT journal that has LOTS of of info you didn't know about Luke Skywalker. You'll really enjoy this book and/or learn something new. I bought a copy a while ago, and I have read this more than 10 times I think. You really get into the book after reading atleast the first chapter. You can also find out more about the friendship with mysterious Biggs. Strap on for one of the best journals.
